GENERAL
When and where is CPAC 2009?
The next CPAC is February 26-28, 2009 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in
Washington, DC. The Omni Shoreham is located at 2500 Calvert Street,
NW, Washington, DC 20008 and is Metro-accessible on the red line,
at the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan stop.
CPAC begins at 10 a.m. on
Thursday, February 26 and ends at approximately
5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28.
The banquets begin at 7:30 p.m.

Are meals included?
The only meals are the optional banquets on Thursday and Friday.
Attendees are responsible for breakfast and lunch all three days. There
is no banquet on Saturday. Several cosponsors, particularly student
groups, have receptions and lunches during the conference. For information

What is the usual attire for the conference and for the banquets?
The dress for the conference is either business casual or business.
The dress for the banquets is business. Banquets are not black tie.

I wasn’t able to get in last year.
Will I be able to get in to see all of the speakers at CPAC 2009?
We had more on-site registration at CPAC 2008 than expected. We have
made plans with the hotel to increase seating in the general session,
as well as add an additional ballroom for overflow. All attempts within
hotel policy and fire marshal codes will be made to allow all attendees
to attend the general sessions.

Can I pay by check or money order?

mail-in form.

Will my tickets be mailed to me?
No, tickets and other registration materials will be available at
CPAC 2009 check-in beginning Wednesday, February 25 from 6:00 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. at the Omni Shoreham Hotel, and will continue on Thursday
and Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:00
a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

What is the refund policy if I registered but can no longer attend?

Can I just attend one day?
There is a Saturday-Only Pass, which can only be picked up on Saturday,
February 28, 2009. If you only want to attend on Thursday or Friday,
you will still need to purchase the Conference-Only Pass.

How do I know if I’m registered?
If you registered online, you should have received a confirmation
email to the email address you provided. If you have any questions
additional questions, call 1-800-752-4391.

I registered, but I was charged more than once. How do I get a refund?
This happens when a person hits submit more than once, or enters
the wrong address the first time and then enters the correct address
the second time. You must enter the billing address associated with the credit card you are using. Our secure online service usually corrects this
quickly with your bank. If it is not corrected after five business
days, call
us at 1-800-752-4391.

HOTEL AND TRAVEL
Which airports are nearby?
There are three airports in the DC metro area – Baltimore-Washington
(BWI), Reagan National (DCA) and Dulles (IAD). DCA is the only airport
that has a Metro stop and is closest to the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
IAD has shuttles to Metro stops and BWI has a MARC train to Metro stops.
All airports have taxis that can take you to the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
The hotel itself does not provide airport shuttles. For more information,

Are discounted rooms available at the Omni Shoreham Hotel?
Yes, for more information,

Omni’s
reservation line is 1-800-843-6664. You must mention CPAC before reserving your room in order
to receive the discount. Attendees are responsible for making their
own
hotel and travel arrangements.

Are there cheaper hotels in the area?
Yes, there are two hotels nearby – The Days Inn on Connecticut
Ave. (202-244-5600) and the Wardman Park Marriott on Woodley Road
(202-328-2000), which is across the street from the Omni. Rates vary
at both hotels.
Both are also Metro-accessible. Additionally, there are dozens more
hotels conveniently situated in DC, Maryland, or northern Virginia.
For information on other hotels check out any travel site, such as
Expedia.com or Orbitz.com. We recommend that attendees look for hotels
that are
Metro-accessible since parking at the Omni is limited. For more information,

How do I get there by DC Metro?
The closest Metro is the Woodley Park/Zoo/Adams Morgan stop. After
exiting the Metro go down the stairs to the right. Then, turn left
and walk one block to Calvert Street. Cross and go right. The hotel
will
be on your left. Visit www.wmata.com for more information on Washington’s
Metro system.

What restaurants are in the area?
There are several restaurants and delis near the Omni, including
Chipotle, Open City Café, and McDonald’s. There is also
a restaurant located inside the Omni.

When will the agenda be posted?
The agenda is usually posted 2-3 weeks before the conference begins.

What other events are going on during CPAC?
Many CPAC cosponsors have events during CPAC. For information on

policy for attendance, as these events are not run by CPAC.
