WASHINGTON, DC (October 2, 2024)— The dangerous liberal policies of the Biden-Harris administration have forced the U.S. into an economic downward spiral.  Americans cannot afford housing, gas or groceries, and Kamala Harris is doubling down on Democrat ideas that have sent prices soaring 20.3 percent since she and Biden took office.

The latest polling shows the economy and the rising cost of living as top of mind for voters, especially Latino voters. These kitchen-table issues are causing Harris to not only lose ground with the important Hispanic-American voting bloc; it has given her the lowest advantage of any Democrat in the past four presidential cycles among Latino voters.

“Come November, voters at the ballot box will be voting with their pocketbooks,” said Mercedes Schlapp, GOP Strategist for CPAC Unidos and former White House Strategic Senior Advisor. “The Biden-Harris administration has ushered in the worst economic conditions we have seen in decades…persistent inflation, lower wages and rising costs. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz seek to double down with yet more extreme policies that have crumbled socialist/communist countries and have decimated their financial sectors. For decades, Latinos have been fleeing these politically and economically plagued countries for the land of opportunity, and we will not let the United States become Cuba, Nicaragua or Venezuela! Hispanic-Americans will vote to restore the American Dream and the extraordinary era of economic prosperity we had under President Donald J. Trump.”

Betty Cardenas, President of Bienvenido Action PAC and Advisor to Latinas For Trump-Vance Campaign said: “For three-and-a-half years, American families have suffered economically at the hands of a Biden-Harris Administration. The Trump-Vance economic proposal includes extending and expanding his 2017 tax cuts for all Americans and corporations, imposing fresh tariffs on U.S. imports, levying Chinese shipments to entice manufacturers to move production to the U.S and rolling back the Green New Deal. The economic plan also includes eliminating taxes on tips and Social Security payments. Lastly, one of the largest components to Trump’s proposal is increasing oil production by using emergency powers to push through new oil drilling, refinery construction, power plants and other projects to increase output.

“Latino voters see Trump as the candidate with the leadership skills to deal with inflation and the cost of living because he is tried and tested. Under his leadership, Hispanic-Americans were thriving with record unemployment levels, booming job creation, and a bolstered entrepreneurial community. With millions struggling to keep current with their bills and overall wealth inequality at an all-time high, Latinos cannot afford another four years of Kamala Harris’ devastating empty promises,” added Schlapp.
