Vote Description

This amendment to SB 52 states that all teams in public schools must be designated as being specifically for males, females, or both (coed). It then prohibits males from playing on teams designated as being for females. CPAC supports efforts to create a safe and fair environment of play in school sports and supported this amendment. The Senate defeated this amendment on May 11, 2023 by a vote of 17-2.
