This bill compels state and local government entities to cooperate with federal immigration authorities, including honoring deportation and detainer requests, and bars sanctuary-style noncompliance. It reaffirms that Arizona will not harbor illegal immigrants at taxpayer expense. CPAC supports strong immigration enforcement and an end to sanctuary policies and supported this bill. The Senate passed this bill on 2025-03-05 by a vote of 17-12. The Governor vetoed this bill.
