This bill removes a requirement stating that a person must, if they lose their mail-in ballot and need to request another one, sign a statement under penalty of perjury declaring that they lost the ballot. CPAC opposes measures that reduce ballot security and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on September 6, 2023 by a vote of 31-8 and the bill later became law.
