Creating More and More Reasons to Force Employers to Allow Employees to Take Sick Leave.

Vote Description
This bill increases the list of valid reasons an employee may have in order to qualify for sick leave. For example, an employee may now take time off merely because of an abstract “need to grieve.” CPAC believes that employees should work out their benefits with employers without government interference and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on April 21, 2023 by a vote of 41-22 and the bill later became law.
