HB 6397
Declaring a Climate “Emergency” and Channeling Funds toward the Left’s Favorite Climate-related Initiatives.
2023 - Connecticut House of Representatives
Vote Description

This bill declares that there exists a “climate emergency” and directs the Commissioner of Energy and Environmental Protection to produce a comprehensive Connecticut Decarbonization Roadmap. It also directs the state to obtain federal funding for various renewable energy projects. CPAC supports all forms of energy, does not believe that the government should support one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 2, 2023 by a vote of 95-53 but the bill never became law.
