Vote Description
This bill expands Connecticut’s paid sick leave laws to cover all private employers, expands the reasons for which employees may take leave, and increases the number of days of sick leave that an employee may take. CPAC believes that employees, not the government, should negotiate their benefits with employers and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on May 18, 2023 by a vote of 20-12 but the bill never became law.
