S 102
Spending $711,000,000 on Housing Incentives.
2023 - Florida Senate
Vote Description
This bill apportions $711,000,000 to various affordable housing programs. For example, it apportions $100,000,000 to Florida’s Hometown Hero Housing Assistance Program for the purpose of aiding first-time homebuyers in making their down payments. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to help pay for other people’s housing, opposes government involvement in the housing market, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on March 8, 2023 by a vote of 40-0 and the bill later became law.
