Vote Description
This bill sets up a new bureaucracy in the Indiana Office of Energy Development that will push for the creation of more solar and wind projects. It then allows the new center to establish an incentive fund that rewards communities for promoting renewable energy. CPAC supports all forms of energy, believes that the government should not favor one form of energy over another, and opposed this bill. The Senate passed the bill on April 4, 2023 by a vote of 32-16 and the bill later became law.
