Cracking Down on CRT in Kansas’ Public Universities.
2023 - Kansas House of Representatives
Vote Description

This section of Kansas’ appropriation bill prohibits upper institutions of higher education from using state funds in order to compel students or employees to endorse any ideologies to which they are opposed. It also prohibits these institutions from using such funds in order to give preferential treatment to individuals based on their affirmation of such ideologies. CPAC opposes efforts to use taxpayer funds to compel individuals to affirm Leftist ideologies and supported this section. The House sustained Governor Kelly’s line-item veto of this section on April 26, 2023 by a vote of 79-45.
