This bill takes numerous actions against the proliferation of transgender ideology in schools. For example, it prohibits schools from shielding parents from information about their children and from teaching about human sexuality and gender identity to kids who have not yet reached grade 5. The bill also prohibits health care providers from performing a number of radical gender surgeries on children. CPAC supports efforts to stymie the proliferation of radical gender ideology in schools, supports efforts to stop the mutilation of children, and supported this bill. The House overrode Governor Beshear’s veto of this bill on March 29, 2023 by a vote of 76-23 and the bill later became law.
