SB 65
Opposing the Expansion of Medicaid.
2023 - Kentucky Senate
Vote Description

This bill nullifies various regulations that were found deficient during the 2022 legislative session. In doing so, this bill cracks down on Governor Beshear’s attempts to use emergency regulations to expand Medicaid in regards to hearing, vision, and dental coverage. CPAC supports efforts to reduce the regulatory burdens placed on people, opposes the expansion of Medicaid, and supported this bill. The Senate overrode Governor Beshear’s veto of this bill on March 29, 2023 by a vote of 30-7 and the bill later became law.
