Vote Description
This bill extends the sunset date on the Angel Investor Tax Credit Program to 2030. Under this program, investors can receive tax credits based on the amount of funds that they invest in government-favored businesses. CPAC does not believe that the government should subsidize other people’s private investments, does not believe that the government should attempt to direct investment toward favored businesses, and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on June 5, 2023 by a vote of 98-0 and the bill later became law.
