Vote Description

This bill allows for a Certificate of Need for a psychiatric hospital in Desoto County, among other recipients and makes changes to the program. CPAC opposes these Certificate of Need programs that force small business people to get permission from their competitor to start a business and but supported this bill as a step in the right direction. The Senate passed the bill on March 13, 2025 by a vote of 51-0 but the bill was vetoed by the governor.
