This bill creates the Sustainable New Jersey Fund, the likes of which will appropriate grants to help advance “environmental, economic, and social sustainability.” CPAC believes that taxpayers should not be forced to fund such initiatives and opposed this bill. The Assembly passed this bill on June 30, 2023 by a vote of 68-9 and the bill later became law.
