Vote Description
This bill requires district school boards to employ one or more civil rights coordinators in their district. These coordinators will have the power to oversee the investigations of discrimination complaints from schools and ensure that such investigations are resolved. CPAC recognizes that this position will be used as a weapon against students who do not completely affirm Leftist beliefs and opposed this bill. The Senate passed this bill on June 21, 2023 by a vote of 18-7 and the bill later became law.
