2023 - South Carolina House of Representatives
Vote Description
This bill allows almost every type of healthcare facility in South Carolina to operate without a certificate of need. Under this law, nursing homes and hospitals will still require this certificate. Even so, CPAC supports substantial certificate of need reform and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on May 2, 2023 by a vote of 118-0 and the bill later became law.
