Vote Description
This bill states a school may not require a teacher to refer to a student by pronouns that are not consistent with the student’s sex if the teacher do not wish to refer to the student as such. CPAC opposes pronoun mandates, believes that teachers should not be forced to affirm transgender ideology, and supported this bill. The House passed this bill on April 21, 2023 by a vote of 72-22 and the bill later became law.
