RC 107
Endowing Favored Minority Groups with Special Interest Financial Assistance.
2023 - US House of Representatives
Vote Description
This bill sponsored by Rep. Deborah Ross, known as the “Energy Cybersecurity University Leadership Act,” directs the Department of Energy to offer financial assistance to graduate students that are studying cybersecurity. The bill also requires that special outreach be made to HBCU’s and other minority-serving institutions such that they may better learn of this initiative. CPAC does not believe that taxpayers should be forced to fund other people’s education and opposed this bill. The House passed this bill on February 6, 2023 by a vote of 357-56 but the bill never became law.
