The Chip Roy amendment to the REININ Act makes it easier for those performing oversight functions to scrutinize potentially inflationary executive orders. It does this by removing certain types of executive orders from the list of presidential actions that could be exempted from such scrutiny. CPAC supports efforts to protect Americans against the cruel hand of tyrannical executive orders and supported this amendment. The House defeated this amendment on March 1, 2023 by a vote of 199-226.
