This bill sponsored by Rep. Mike Rogers, known as the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2024 is a gargantuan 3000+ page hunk of legislation that advances various Leftist causes. Firstly, it extends Section 702 of the FISA Act, the likes of which allows the government to spy on Americans. Additionally, the bill continues to allow the government to fund travel for abortion purposes. CPAC believes that the Senate should instead be working to curb the police powers that have been frequently abused by the government, opposes measures that allow the government to fund abortion travel, and opposed the passage of this bill. The House passed this bill on December 14, 2023 by a vote of 310-118.
