A Rep. Scott Perry (CPAC Lifetime Rating 97%) amendment to the Energy and Water Appropriations bill would eliminate funding for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, which oversees the government spending that favors some energy sources over others. CPAC supports eliminating wasteful government offices that primarily exist to advance the radical green agenda with taxpayer dollars and supported this amendment.  The House defeated the amendment on September 4, 2025, by a vote of 127-297 (87 Republicans and all Democrats voted against).
