Bringing the Continuing Resolution to a Vote
2025 - US Senate
Vote Description

This vote is to proceed to the September 2025 Continuing Resolution (CR) that would keep the government open and implement Sen. Rand Paul’s “Six Penny Plan” which would balance the Federal budget by cutting 6% of all Federal spending. CPAC supports balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility, and supported this CR. The motion to bring up the bill failed on September 16, 2025, by a vote of 36-62 (15 Republicans and all Democrats voted against).
