The Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France reopened this weekend after an extensive restoration process that brought the iconic cathedral from the ashes of a tragic fire back to its former glory. Catholic author and speaker Kevin Wells weighed in on the reopening of Notre Dame.
“It was glorious. It was transcendent,” reacted Wells. “What we saw with the reopening was of God.”
The reopening was attended by world leaders including President-elect Donald Trump.
“Donald Trump understands innately that there’s something supernatural to this cathedral. This is sacred to the soul of not only France but to the world because it stands for something transcendent. So, Donald Trump will look at this and say, ‘There’s something right about this. There’s something ordered,’” commented Wells.
Later in the show, the conversation shifts to miracles, Trump’s assassination attempt, Pope Francis and his absence from the Notre Dame reopening, Wells’ inspiring writings, and the transformational work of the World Villages for Children. Watch Wells’ and Schlapp’s full discussion on CPAC+.
