Taking place just days after President Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States, the 2025 March for Life was especially exciting with remarks from the sitting president and sitting Vice President J.D. Vance. Matt and Mercedes Schlapp joined pro-life activists on the National Mall for the march and weighed in on Trump and Vance’s remarks.
“America got to such a disgusting place under the last four years, and Trump is bringing us all back to normal,” commented Matt Schlapp.
“It’s looking also forward after Roe v. Wade, a post-Roe v. Wade moment here where these decisions moved toward the state. The reality being that we need to protect the life of the unborn and also really support those mothers who are struggling and in fear and scared that it might be hard to choose life,” said Mercedes Schlapp
Thousands joined in for the March for Life in a show of support for the most vulnerable of human lives and in a world following the Supreme Court’s overturing of Roe V. Wade, to show that pro-life is also about protecting those women in crisis pregnancies.
