Parental rights are under attack as Daily Caller investigative journalist Meg Brock uncovers stories of a secret database tracking transgender children and agencies taking children from their parents for refusing to provide ‘gender-affirming' care. Brock joined Mercedes Schlapp to discuss these stories and the larger issues of government agencies overriding the authority of parents, ripping apart families, and mandating the mutilation of children.
“One of the principles that kind of underlies all of this is this idea that parents who don’t affirm their child’s gender confusion are harming them. They’re neglectful. They’re causing emotional harm, which is equivalent to abuse,” said Brock. “This database was also then used to suggest whether or not parents need to get trained by these interventions to become more “affirming.”
The database was funded by a $10 million federal grant at the University of Maryland, meaning Americans’ taxes are funding of the violation of their rights. Government agencies are going even further in many cases to remove trans-identifying children from their parents and to require that foster parents be gender affirming.
