How do conservative couples do it? Mercedes Schlapp interviewed Terry and Katie Schilling in a special episode on top conservative couples and families.
The Schillings, who met at a CPAC conference in 2007, are inspired to live out conservative values by their own parents, especially Terry Schilling’s father, Congressman Bobby Schilling.
Schilling described both his father and Katie’s father as “quintessential American. What I mean by that is, he told the truth. He was an honest worker. He was a real businessman. He was hungry. He was looking for opportunities, but he was also humble. He knew his limits, but he had confidence.”
Terry and Katie Schilling went on to share how they raise their six children, how their marriage has grown and changed over 15 years, how their Catholic faith influences their family culture, and what advice they have to young conservative couples.
