Ohio Attorney David Yost called vote counts that take longer than Election Day "not normal" in an appearance on Newsmax. Prolonged vote counts allow for fraud, cheating, and a compromised election. They are also simply unnecessary. Yost points out that many states like his home state of Ohio can finish counting votes on Election Day itself.
"We've got 12 million people in Ohio. We will have millions of votes. We're going to report tonight. Our Secretary of State is going to have the numbers posted live as they come in," said Yost.
