Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss is a confirmed speaker at CPAC in DC 2025.
Raised by a liberal family, Truss became a conservative in college after her introduction to Austrian economics. From 2008 to 2010, she served as the deputy director of conservative think tank Reform, and in 2010, she founded the Free Enterprise Group, which promoted a free-market approach to the British economy. In addition to her time as Prime Minister, she has also served in other government positions, including president of the Board of Trade and Secretary of State for foreign, Commonwealth, and development affairs. Since her beginnings in government, Truss has been outspoken about the free market.
Truss has previously spoken at CPAC about the importance of preserving Western values and the dangers of “wokenomics.” Catch up on her past remarks at CPAC.org.
