Szánthó is an attorney and the head analyst of the Centre of Fundamental Rights, a Hungarian institute of legal research. He is the author of essays such as May There Be Peace, Freedom, and Accord: The background, Adoption, and Content of Hungary’s New Electoral System and From Desire to Rights – Notes on Human Rights Fundamentalism.
