This Thanksgiving, we are especially grateful for those freedoms that make our country exceptional. We are grateful for democracy and the ability to determine our own future as a nation. We are grateful for the grassroots patriots who took a stand for freedom this year.
We are grateful for President Donald J. Trump’s victory as we are part of this historical moment in America.
We recognize that much work still needs doing, and we take this day of reflection to pray for the revival and restoration of the soul of America.
We follow the recommendation of President Abraham Lincoln in his 1863 Thanksgiving Proclamation, “No human counsel hath devised, nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently, and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American people.”
Happy Thanksgiving from CPAC!
