Virginia Results Could Indicate Rest of Battleground States

Though Virginia has been a purple state leaning more towards red in recent years, especially since the election of Republican Glenn Youngkin as governor, the state threatens to go for Kamala Harris tonight in the presidential election. Mercedes Schlapp said on Newsmax the state will be hard for President Trump to secure but a close finish could be still be a hopeful indication for other battleground states.

"Trump would have to get that magical number of about 35% in the Fairfax County area to win Virginia. It will be a challenge for, I think, President Trump, but again, it's one of those that it would be great if he could win Virginia but even if he's down by two or three points...that could be indicative of some of these other states for example in places like North Carolina, where Trump did win that state over 1% in 2020," said Schlapp.
