Freedom is alive and well. Argentina and the United States are the flag bearers, and CPAC Argentina united the two freedom powerhouses in the Western Hemisphere.
"In America, it's a new day!", declared CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp in the opening remarks at CPAC Argentina. "People have hope in America again."
President Donald Trump's election victory on November 5 evidenced a shift in American culture and politics and gave Americans reason to be optimistic for the future of the nation.
Americans are not the only ones feeling bullish about the future. Our allies, too, are feeling hopeful again for the first time in four years. Argentina is one of those allies, and CPAC Argentina put the country's enthusiasm for freedom and for a partnership with America on full display.
"Milei is the Donald Trump of Argentina," said organizer of CPAC Argentina Soledad Cedro.
Argentina's president, Javier Milei burst on to the political scene as an outsider with a man-of-the-people persona and ideas that not only deviated from the status quo but directly challenged it, and as President, he has acted on that platform, slicing through the bureaucracy and corruption of the federal government, strengthening the economy, and fostering the flourishing of freedom and the country's rich Christian culture.
"President Milei has brought a breath of fresh air to the national and international political scene by fighting corruption and is the first country in the last 100 years to take this initiative seriously," said Steve Bannon in recorded remarks to the CPAC Argentina audience.
CPAC brought the two leaders, Milei and Trump, together at the Washington, D.C. conference in February 2024. Now, with another Trump presidency imminent, CPAC Argentina laid the foundation for a partnership between the Milei and Trump administrations to protect and promote freedom and to deliver death blows to communism and globalism arm in arm.
The conference saw members of each's administration and campaign like RNC co-chair Lara Trump, political strategist for Donald Trump, Barry Bennett, Argentina Minister of the Economy Luis Caputo, Argentina Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich, Argentina Secretary of Culture Nahuel Sotelo, and Milei himself engage in dialogue on the way forward to limited government, national sovereignty, and traditional values together.
"Let's make America and Argentina great again!" urged Lara Trump in her remarks at CPAC Argentina.
